Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Opens Opulent New Nightclub with Grand Opening Party Hosted by Diddy

Celebrate your inner "Vanity" this New Year's Eve inside the latest indulgent nightlife creation at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Located in the luxurious new HRH Tower, Vanity nightclub opens its doors Thursday, December 31st to ring in 2010, followed by the official grand opening party January 2nd with illustrious party host Diddy.

The heartbeat of the club is a spectacular cyclone chandelier lit from within by more than 20,000 LED lights that truly bring the dance floor to life.

"We've taken everything we learned from Body English, one of the best nightclubs to hit Vegas, and brought it to the next level," said Cory McCormack, Hard Rock's managing partner of The Nightlife Group. "Vanity will cater to a person's every whim."

The 14,000 square-foot venue features two marble bars, 50 intimate VIP booths, an outdoor terrace with cabanas, fire pit, and offers direct access to the new outdoor Sky Bar opening April 2010. For those who are just a bit more vain, the ladies lounge is complete with nail and makeup technicians available for touch ups and all bathrooms are equipped with full-length three-way mirrors, naturally.

VIP seating lines the 80-foot sunken dance floor, while a larger center seating area borders an onyx catwalk lined with tall lanterns. Staff in rocker-style uniforms offer champagne menus engraved on handheld antique mirrors.

Vanity is part of the Hard Rock Hotel's $750 million expansion which includes the addition of approximately 860 new guest rooms - the recently opened Paradise Tower and HRH Tower opening December 28.

HRH Tower will also house Reliquary Spa across from Vanity, as well as three new restaurants, approximately 60,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, and more than 40,000 sq. ft. of casino space.

HRH and Paradise Towers will be finalized with the new pools and Skybar in the first half of next year. By spring 2010, the property will have created more than 1,200 jobs for Vegas when the expansion is complete.

Don Rickles has said, "If I were to insult people and mean it, that wouldn't be funny. There is a difference between an actual insult and just having fun."

Don Rickles began his career in stand up working in a night club in Hollywood. In 1957, in that same Hollywood club, Sinatra walked in and Rickles used him as the center of a joke. They became fast friends. Sinatra sang his praises and soon Hollywood celebrities were rushing to see him perform in hopes to become a target of his "insults." Just years later, Rickles believes, was the one performance that helped launch his career in show business; and that was his 1965 appearance on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show.

Since his early days in the spotlight, Don Rickles has gone on to perform in countless television and movie roles. Perhaps one of the more honorable engagements was performing for President Reagan at the 1984 Inaugural Gala. That evening all attendees were fodder for Rickles' wit. Don Rickles let the zingers fly aiming at the President, Vice President and other national dignitaries proving everyone is fair game when it comes to Don Rickles and his sharp-tongued comedy.

Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas is preparing to welcome 25 of the greatest legends in sports history and 25 world famous Poker Pros for the first-ever Poker News Sports Legends Challenge presented by AbsolutePoker.net, a four-day sports fantasy and gaming experience that will take place Sept. 14 - 17, 2009.

Pop superstar, Beyonce, has taken Vegas by storm with a four-night stint at Wynn Las Vegas that started last Thursday and ended on Sunday evening. Billed as "An Intimate Performance by Beyonce," the show was designed as an up-close-and-personal evening with the iconic star, performing for the first time in the cozy 1500-seater. The 90-minute set showcased re-arranged and re-interpreted songs from the entertainer's songbook, including #1 hits during her years with Destiny's Child. She took on the role of narrator, playfully telling the story of her musical career from being signed and dropped to superstardom.

Although she added a string section, including a harpist, to her all-female ten-piece band and all female trio of singers, the feel of the show was almost unplugged with Beyonce's voice soaring. The sold-out crowd on every night was a diverse mix of fans, young and old, who stood up most of the evening. The emphasis for this show was on musicality and vocals with Beyonce only showcasing three costumes, a rarity for the quick-change artist who can sometimes sport at least a half-dozen looks in one evening.

The last show was taped for a DVD due for release this November and some lucky guests were given the opportunity to see the show earlier in the afternoon as producers and crew set the stage for camera blocking. Friends and family and some lucky employees of The Wynn Hotel were given a special ticket to witness the taping. Another sold-out crowd returned for the evening show, which was also taped as part of the DVD.

Beyonce continues her "I AM..." world tour next week in Japan before moving on to Australia, China and Europe.

Wynn Las Vegas is proud to host legendary basketball duo, Coach Bob Knight and Billy Packer, during the 2009 College Basketball Tournament.

The legendary duo will be in the Race and Sports Book daily following the games to interact with fans. Their new television series, "Billy Packer's Survive and Advance," will be recorded live on location at Wynn Las Vegas after the games on March 22, March 29, April 3 and April 5. The program features Knight and Packer as they analyze the games with special guests, including prominent coaches and players. Tapings are free and open to the public. Guests of the Sunday, March 22 program include Coach Denny Crum and former players Bill Russell and David Thompson. "Survive and Advance" will air later that evening, at midnight local time, on Fox Sports Net (FSN).
